Описание

Anna Di Stasio (1936 - Roma 2011)

Anna Di Stasio has started thinking about the hand to imitate his older brother, the low Edgardo di Stasio who was also given a discrete stage career also at the side of the sister with whom most 'sometimes responded staged the role they had in life: brother and sister, that Sparafucile and Maddalena. Appassionatasi singing got permission from the family to neglect his studies in piano and carsi devoted to singing with a teacher of great prestige: the Bolognese baritone Riccardo Stracciari remained in history as the Caruso baritones. On the death of Stracciari (1955) Anna Di Stasio, already in his career, he was never more 'turned to another teacher. The debut had him as a soprano, in Lecce, in 1946, in the role of Liù continuing with roles like Nedda, Mimi, Lisa in La Sonnambula and also Violetta in La Traviata. It was in 1950 that his artistic instinct suggested that she go to the mezzo-soprano vocal and as such began as Suzuki in Butterfly first in Naples and soon after in Rome. With that role was in theaters around the world interpreting it 400 times. Convinced to devote himself to minor roles mezzo-soprano, Anna Di Stasio, however, had the opportunity to perform well in primary roles such as Azucena, Adalgisa and once even was Amneris, in Cairo, when he had to suddenly replace Fedora Barbieri, who was ill. During his long career he has collected over 150 different characters taken anywhere in Italy and then in Japan, Canada, South America, North and South America and throughout Europe. In the theater he met and married (1952) the content Augusto Pedroni, who died many years, shortly after she finally stopped his career in 1986 with some performances of Chenier at the San Carlo in Naples, playing the role of bellisimo old Madelon. Since then he has devoted great care and passion to teaching. Autographed photos of famous Mezzo-soprano.
