A carved ivory figure of Mary cradling the body of Christ - probably Flemish, circa 18th Century; ; with traces of original polychromy, on a wooden throne with ivory flowers. 23 cm, 10 15⁄64 in high overall, weight 891 gr. Item condition grading: **** good. Ce.S.Ar. Certificate of Antiquity

This lot contains ivory/coral/ tortoiseshell. Due to recent changes in the laws of many countries (e.g. US, France) - about endangered species including but not limited to coral, ivory and tortoiseshell - BFA recommends that buyers check with their own government regarding any importation requirements prior to placing a bid.
