Plate FAIENCE, half 16th centuryMonochromatic blue majolica, decorated on both recto and verso. The concave surface at the middle of the recto sports a musical instruments motif.

Item condition grading: good (some minor gluings and mountings)The plate is a typical example of the pottery production in 16th-century Faience, mostly coloured in monochromatic blue, along the lines of the porcelains copiously arriving in the ports of the Romagna from the East (Gardelli 1983; Ravanelli Guidotti 1998, pp. 265 ff.)
