Etruscan Bucchero jug
Etruria, end of 7th century BC; height cm 17 (6,7’’); A black bucchero jug with distinct high neck, globular body, disc-shaped foot and ribbon handle vertically stretching from the shoulder to the rim; the handle is decorated with refined small knobs, whilst on the neck there are three parallel etched lines and zig-zag motif.
A tolerable chip on the foot.
PROVENANCE:
French private collection, formed in the 1980s.
