A LARGE ‘IMARI’ DISH
China, Kangxi period
5 x 36 cm
Low circular foot, rounded walls and a wide rim, the interior painted in blue, red and gold with floral compositions arranged in a big central round medallion and in four lobed reserves, to the centre of the base a lingzhi fungus inside two concentric circles, an old collection label with the inscription “Lefebvre Antiquairie 55 n. Chateaudin Paris/ N. 5402 shill 5”.
