A printed poster and a ticket with an autograph signature, dated 1960, by the Hungarian composer. Starting in 1905 he visited the most remote villages to collect traditional songs and in 1906 he wrote his thesis on Hungarian folk songs. In the same period he met composer Béla Bartók and introduced him to the folk music of his own land. Together they published numerous collections of popular music and were similarly influenced by these works in their production.
