PIETRO MASCAGNI
Livorno 1863 – Roma 1945
Three autograph letters from the composer from Livorno who was the Director of the Liceo Rossini in Pesaro from 1895 to 1902 (reported in the letters), a position from which he was dismissed due to tensions with the city administration, but which will see the teacher acquitted of all charges in the Appeals Court. In these letters Mascagni himself confirms that the dispute will not affect the reputation of the city of Pesaro. Six pp. in-4.
