Three autographed letters signed by the Tuscan composer, all written in 1912 on the eve of the completion of Parisina addressed to the tenor Enrico Barbacini who, together with Italo Campanini and subsequently Emilio Naudin was considered one of the greatest Parmatenors of the 1800s. Particularly detailed and signifncant are letters that discuss Parisina which was to be performed the following year: “… non so quando potrò aver terminato Parisina … infine bisogna pensare al periodo di esecuzione …”. Various formats.
