Les Femmes de ce Temps is a wonderful doubly colored xylograph on paper, realized in the 20s of the XX century by Louis Jou.
Monogram on plate on the lower right corner, under the cat. From “Our friend Louis Jou” by Jou Carco and Jean Cassou, a collection of two series of 48 plates. Limited edition of 525 copies, illustrated by 70 burins by Louis Jou. One of the 35 ex. on Imperial Japan with a double suite of 48 original burins (one on Holland Van Gelder and one en bistre on Imperial Japan).
Representing the three graces with an incredible technical skill of the burin, this modern original print is in excellent conditions, except for a light fold on the lower right margin.
