Giovanni Breviario (Bergamo 1891 - ivi 1982)

Lyric Tenor pushed, from "light accent, acute ringing high notes and great temperament", he studied with the masters Baccanelli Vittore and Dante Lari in Milan and perfected by the master Giovanni Fratini. He made his debut in 1924 at the Opera Theater of Pula in the part of Manrico in Il Trovatore. The career began in provincial theaters, achieving convincing results, which led him to sing in the major Italian theaters such as the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Teatro Regio in Parma, the Teatro Petruzzelli of Bari, the Teatro alla Scala. For voice characteristics, especially suitable for outdoor singing, was cast in several Italian amphitheaters; from the famous Arena di Verona, Amphitheater Gangi to Catania. Abroad, she performed in theaters in Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, Germany, Hungary, Egypt and Malta. In particular, "It was a major protagonist in the period 1927-1934 in the major Dutch theaters, where it became known the dramatic Italian repertoire, getting important awards."
