Nuccia Focile (Militello di Catania 1961)

Nuccia Focile studied with Elio Battaglia at the Turin Conservatory. He has sung in all the great opera houses of the world operates, making his debut at the Met in the role of Mimi in La Boheme in 1995, and enjoys a wide concert career, including recitals at the Edinburgh Festival. His operatic recordings include Eugene Onegin with Semyon Bychkov and three works by Charles Mackerras - Cosi fan tutte, The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni. For Opera Rara, she sang the part of Eleanor in The Siege of Calais by Donizetti, and can be heard in the anthology A Hundred Years of Italian Opera, 1820-1830, highlights in de Prison Edinburgh Ricci, plus the Volume 4 of the series the Lounge (the Howling).
