Bruttium, Croton, Hemiobol, c. 530-500 BC; AR (g 0,22; mm 10; h 12); ϘPO, tripod with legs ending in lion's paws, on the lebes, serpents and ornaments, Rv. Tripod incuse. HNItaly -; SNG ANS -; cfr. Heidelberger Auction 64 (20 November 2014), lot 37; cfr. Gorny & Mosch Auction 204 (5 March 2012), lot 1071.
Unpublished in the standard references. Cabinet tone, extremely fine.

The early silver fractions of Croton mint with tripod incuse are extremely rare: the only published specimen is an obol of 0,43 g cfr. Attianese 1604a.
