Oil on canvas, 35 x 59.5 cm
This canvas is an artwork made by Guglielmo Giusti, an Italian painter skilled at painting Naples and Campania’s landscapes, in line with the style of the Posillipo School.
The painter had worked mainly for foreign costurmers so his productions were more successful in the foreign market; however, he also exhibited in Italy, for example at the Fine Arts Exhibition in the Royal Bourbon Museum, in 1859, with Ischia’s landscape and Lilies Party in Nola, at the National Exhibition of Naples, in 1877, with Harbour and Castle of Ischia and, to the Promoter in 1883, with Houses at the Marina di Capri.
In his career he treated oil, watercolor and tempera, keeping a fluid and lively touch.
