Gallia - Gironde Region, Celtic stater imitating Philip II of Macedon, 2nd century BC; AV (g 7,84; mm 20; h 1); Stylized laureate head of Apollo r., Rv. Charioteer driving fast biga r.; below, trident; below curved exergual line, [ΦIΛΛIΠOY] (slightly barbarized). Castelin 427 ss; Sills 375-379; DT 3617-3618.
Rare and good very fine.

Ex Auktionshaus H.D. Rauch, Auction 79 (17th November 2006), lot 2012; said to be from the Tayac Hoard of 1893.
