Etruscan intaglio on carnelian scarab set on a modern golden ring. Male figure and animal.

Etruscan intaglio on carnelian scarab, set on a modern golden ring. A man kneeling on an animal, to immobilize it. A small chipping in the lower section of the stone. References: one similar specimen is preserved to the Metropolitan Museum (Inv. n. 41.160.504), and it is depicted Herakles with a deer. Gisela M.A. Richter, Catalogue of the engraved gems.
