Bordeaux 1822 – Thomery 1899

Signed autograph letter, dat. Paris 17 juillet 1856 by the renowned painter, the first French woman artist to be awarded the title of knight of the Légion d'honneur in 1865. The letter refers to a painting she received in order to make some lithographic reproductions on behalf of Louise-Joséphine Sarazin de Belmont Le litographe a déjà commencé son travail...". Three pp. in-8, on letterhead with abrasions and defects.
