Description

The print created by the Bolognese engraver Lorenzo Tinti after a design by Francesco Ferrati, invented by the Ferrara architect Carlo Pareti, shows an equestrian masked party held in Ferrara in 1672. This engraving illustrated the publication: “Il Mondo. Mascherata. Esercizio cavalleresco da rappresentarsi a cavallo nel cortile di Ferrara all’eminentissimo signor cardinale Acciaioli legato et alle signore dame. Inventato, ed ammaestrato dal signor conte Pinamonte Bonacossi.”
