Very fresh artwork representing a genre scene: Salvator Rosa, the famous Neapolitan painter. He is with the brigands in the woods. The scene is very fresh and is characterized by an intense chiaroscuro.

The artwork was realized by Adolph Pierre Riffaut (Paris, 1821 - Charenton-le-Pont, 1859).
