Bruno Praticò (Aosta 1958)
A student of baritone Giuseppe Valdengo, he attended master classes of the Teatro alla Scala and Rodolfo Celletti. A multifaceted artist, is considered among the greatest interpreters of the basso buffo roles. He is regularly invited in the most important theaters in the world such as the Metropolitan Opera, Covent Garden in London and the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. With assets of more than one hundred debuttati roles, his wide repertoire ranging from eighteenth century Naples, passing by Mozart and Rossini to Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi and Puccini. His versatility has led him to deal with the repertoire of the twentieth century up to be an interpreter of several contemporary works, such as Divorce Italian Style by Giorgio Battistelli (Nancy, 2009) and Cenerentola.com Lucio Gregory and Nicola Sani (Palermo, 2011). Particularly related to the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, in 1998 he was awarded the Rossini gold award for her portrayal of the role of Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola by Rossini. Among the many interpretations indicate Pesaro Il Viaggio a Reims, La Cenerentola, The Gazette, The misunderstanding extravagant, Le Comte Ory and Torvaldo and Dorliska.
