Engraving, 23 x 17,8 cm
Rare proof, skillful copy / translation of Aegidius Sadeler II's print after Spranger's painting (now in Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna) (Hollstein 60.I). On the lower margin Sebastian Sottilus's dedication to Hieronimo Orlando: PER ILL. D. AC P.NO SVO COLENDIS. D. HIERONYMO ORLANDO Sebast. Sottilus D.D.
Fine, sharp impression on watermarked laid paper, with small margins of approximately 2 mm. Glued in four places on a modern backing. In perfect condition.
